John retired eight years ago after a career spanning over 45 years in the dental technology industry, working as a dental ceramist. Having always had a strong interest in art, he then took up a brush and has been fully engaged in painting ever since.

During my painting years, he has created a diverse range of work, in multiple categories, ranging from realism to abstract – and he has worked with both acrylic and water colour.

“My ‘Flower Power’ series was inspired by my first glimpse of a Klimt floral painting – ‘Flower Power 2’ is part of this series,” he says.
