Katrina is an abstract expressionist artist with a passion for creating, which inspired her to study art and design, majoring in painting. Her career has continually developed through 25 years of working full-time as an artist and curator, selling her artwork both within Australia and abroad.
Her paintings are a combination of moments and subsequent emotions she has experienced in her life. She also loves experimenting with her perceptions of nature, painting raw underwater scenes through to vibrant flower gardens.
Her signature works are rich in colour and full of texture, resulting in an almost 3D affect.
“Over the years I have spent time working in communities with indigenous artists. This enabled me to build a strong love of aboriginal culture and their artwork. We worked together and I proudly curated their works in my galleries,” she says.
“I am currently enjoying transiting between my three galleries, Plume Gallery Lorne, Plume Gallery Armadale and Plume Gallery South Melbourne”
