Robyn Holtham (Assoc. Dip. Art)
I trained as a Gold & Silversmith in the School of Art at RMIT in the ’70s and have been making wearable art for most of my career, with my jewellery pieces being held in both public and private collections here in Australia, as well as overseas.
In the 1990’s, I was instrumental in the founding of the Burrinja Arts & Cultural Centre, in the Dandenong Ranges. I subsequently moved to the Flinders Ranges in South Australia, where I established a successful cafe and gallery showcasing my own work and that of other artists.
After selling my business in 2011, I relocated close to the SA coast and the Onkaparinga River. During Covid, I joined an on-line painting group run by Sydney Artist Gabbi Kitchener. With the guidance of Gabbi and her group, I then began to explore various different painting techniques using primarilyacrylics, and mixed media on paper and canvas.
I have always been inspired by the natural world, it’s beauty,it’s fragility, and our deep connection with it. I continue to explore these themes, in country Victoria where I now reside.
