It has now been over 20 years since I sat down with a future wife who asked me what I was going to call my new fledgling jewellery business. “I haven’t a clue” I replied as most were obviously taken and others were just plain boring.

So, she got a piece of paper and pen and asked “Ok, so what is it do you think that sets you apart from everyone else”. Straight away I said “Honesty and Integrity”, “Yes,yes – what else?” she continued. I replied “Mmmm…Time – I love spending time with client’s – I’ll never push nor rush to close them – they have to be in control of the whole process and the final decision must be theirs, sure, I’ll help guide and explain but at the end of the day it must be all them”, “So you Educate them?” she questioned, “Yes, I suppose so – I haven’t really thought about it but knowledge of a product like diamonds is a must when buying jewellery so Education of the client is important” I answered. “Well, that’s bloody good Service” she laughed, “I guess” | laughed back.

She finished her scribbling on the paper and handed it to me with five words circle.

TIME – INTEGRITY – SERVICE – HONESTY and EDUCATION and from that moment TISHE was bom.
