Although city born my life has been spent living along the Great Ocean Road and the Hinterland ,both of which have been a strong influence on my art.
Born in an era when art training was considered an extravagance ,I was encouraged to follow a profession which would give me a standard of living to aspire to.
My career as a midwife was satisfying and I was able eventually to combine both .
My first solo exhibition was at Lorne country club.
I followed on commissioned to paint a series for the birthing unit at Geelong University Hospital and Post Natal wards.
I have been successful in many exhibitions in my region and have had a solo exhibition at the Winchelsea Shire Hall
I was also fortunate to have my own studio in the Halls Gap tourist park while I pursued my love of painting the Grampians
I have shared exhibition space at successfully at Eagles Nest Gallery Aireys Inlet
I alternate between painting the red gums of the Hinterland and the beauty of the ocean.
I generally paint in my studio of places I have been although sometimes my friends scout and supply the subject matter for me.
I love to create my own style with watercolour on yupo,a tricky genre but enjoyable.
