Heather Duff is a Victorian based artist.
She have consistently exhibited in group shows or solo.
“My art is described as having a somewhat surreal look with an exaggerated impression”
I like to involve the viewer and arouse thought with what is implied within the piece…. I like to conjure a response beyond beauty and appreciation of representational art
I endeavor to make statements about our species impact and existence within the landscape.
I enjoy all subject matter, still-life and landscape and portraiture……. my earlier landscapes celebrated a life centered around St Leonard’s, where my abiding love of the sea was nurtured by sublime family summer holidays
A pivotal time in Heathers artistic development was In April 2004 when she embarked on a visit to Central Australia introducing Heather to the dramatic landscape of the Red Centre.
The work she produced enabled her to start a long association with the “Artist in Residency” program at the Ayers Rock Resort –Heather has returned to paint and exhibit there for 18 years annually.
.
Heather now is permanently based in Portarlington Vic and continues to paint evocative landscapes reflecting her life there and beyond.
