My process invites a complete immersion into nature – a mutual flow between person and place. This intuitive practice is led by the evolving, meditative nature of the ocean and its intimacy with the coastline. While much of my work explores the seascapes of the Mornington Peninsula, I am pulled across coastlines searching for nature’s complexions in light and shadow. I am constantly in search for a new perspective on the familiar, and think deeply about scale and the role it plays in nature. This exploration of scale shows that I can be both observer and the observed; I stand in nature as both consumer and the consumed.
